The powered speaker sits on the second shelf on top of the VCR/DVD. It is recommended that you keep the speaker facing the classroom as it is installed and do not move it. The speaker is already connected to the DVD/VCR deck and has a cable with a mini audio connection that can be connected to your computer or any device with a mini audio connection. There is no need to change these connections but if for some reason either of the connections have been changed or removed you need to connect them to the inputs marked LINE IN.
You switch power to the device with the small toggle switch on the back.
On the front of the speaker are three dials designed to help with sound quality.
You should set all three knobs at 12 o'clock then dial the volume up and down for the appropriate level. Adjusting the bass or treble may create unacceptable levels of distortion.
